At Etta Studio, circularity is at the heart of everything we do. We believe fashion should empower individuals and contribute positively to the planet. Guided by our pillars of People, Purpose, and Planet, we are committed to creating a future where style meets sustainability.

People

We believe in building a community that values craftsmanship, creativity, and responsibility. Our upcycling workshops empower participants to transform old garments into something new, sharing skills and fostering sustainable habits. Our pricing allows for fair wages and respectful production with a slow fashion model that doesn't require pressure on people or planet.

Purpose

Our mission extends beyond creating clothing; we aim to inspire change. By centring our entire business around upcycling at scale, we redefine what fashion can be. We don't want to be part of the problem, we are part of the solution. By design, we cannot produce at irresponsible scale. Each piece is crafted from garments that already exist- allowing us to appreciate what has already been and create desire for what this can be. 

Planet

Circularity is at the core of our sustainability strategy. We ensure garments stay out of landfills through initiatives like lifetime repair services, take-back options for worn-out pieces, and upcycling at the end of a product's life. To date, we’ve saved 2.5k garments from landfills, contributing directly to reducing textile waste and conserving valuable resources.

Rethink: Innovative Business Models

Creating upcycled garments that appeal to today's woman is key to us. Unlocking the potential positive impact of circularity and making this accessible and inclusive without sacrificing design or fit.

Recover: Convert Waste

Waste is only actually waste if it has not be reimagined. While textile-to-textile recycling does exist, it requires an incredible amount of energy and resources to be recycled. Recovering 'waste' clothing and redesigning avoids clothing ending up in landfill or the ocean.

Reduce: Minimising resource use

At Etta Studio we design for efficiency and beauty. Material is utilised to it's full potential and our design process meticulously assess' resource use.

Reuse: Extending Product Lifespan

This is a big one for us. We champion a global shift from the linear 'take, make, dispose of' economy, to a circular and responsible system. We reuse discarded products to create our collections, focusing on staple pieces that won't go out of style with the next micro trend. We also 

Repair: Maintaining and Fixing Products

At Etta Studio we offer lifetime fixing services. All it will cost you is the postage. This is out promise to you that we are serious and circularity. If your garment comes to us to be mended and that is no longer possible, we will give you the option to have the piece upcycled into a new product, or it can be donated to us to use in our production. 

Recycle: Transforming Waste into Resources

Being honest, we prefer upcycling. Recycling often requires a lot more energy, and if we can repurpose something as is, without having to make it back into a raw material- we opt for that! All of our packaging is fully recyclable and we do not use plastic.
